Story 1: Missions (Part 4)

 Read "Questions", "F51?", and "The Flash of Light" before you read this.

"How are we going to communicate with each other on missions and in school?" Eric said.

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot, we have devices called adaptors,"  F51 said. "They allow you to message each other without wifi." He then handed them each a device that looked like a small phone.

"Cool," C15 said.

"Do you have any more questions?" Sean asked.

They all shook their heads.

"In that case, you guys can go back home," F51 said. There was another flash of light and they all appeared in their beds again.

The next day Eric woke up and went to school. The school had an area with benches. the benches were called bench 1, bench 2, bench 3, bench 4, and bench 5. In his break, Eric usually sat at bench 2. That day Eric overheard the people next to him talking.

"...the secret identities," one of them said.

"Nobody will find out," another person said.

"But the smells," the first person said.

"...nobody will notice," the second person said.

Just then, the break ended, and Eric took out his adaptor and typed what he heard.

A13 answered and said that next break she would sit at bench 2 and listen to them, and maybe in the breaks after that C15 and S12 could sit there.

Eric agreed and waited to see if any of them had heard anything. Later, S12, A13, and C15 said that they hadn't heard anything suspicious.

A few minutes later, Eric got a message on his adaptor from F51 that they were going to meet at five o'clock.
